In the case of attendance at the event on site you agree to follow the currently valid COVID-19 rules set by the organisers.
In the case of cancellation of the conference on site due to COVID-19 the 17th CRPA will take place in a digital format and already paid conference fees will be refunded (after deduction of the cancellation charge).
Participation with presentation/short presentation:
Submission of an abstract (500 words max.) until 31st October 2021 to crpa-XVII@oeaw.ac.at and registration until 31st March 2022, afterwards with increased conference fee.
An information about the decision on the acceptance of the proposed contribution will be sent by 31st January 2022 at the latest.
The online-registration is necessary for all participants!
Participation without presentation:
Registration until 31st March 2022, afterwards with increased conference fee.
Participation in the excursion on 21st May 2022 (optional):
Registration until 31st March 2022 only.
Types of presentations:
Lecture and short lecture
NEW: Due to the numerous proposals the time slots have been modified to 20 min + 5 min discussion (lecture) and 10 min + 5 min discussion (short lecture).

Conference fees:
Regular participants:
registrating until 31st March 2022: € 150,-
registrating after 31st March 2022: € 200,-
Students and accompanying persons:
registrating until 31st March 2022: € 75,-
registrating after 31st March 2022: € 100,-
Proof of student status is required. Relevant documentation must be uploaded during the online registration process.
Excursion to the hinterland of Carnuntum:
registrating until 31st March 2022: € 55,-
(unfortunately, we cannot accept any registrations after 31st March 2022)
For participants and students the fee includes attendance of the conference sessions, a booklet of abstracts, coffee breaks, lunch on 19th and 20th May, receptions, entrance fees and guided tour of Carnuntum, excursion in Vienna and transfers Vienna – Carnuntum – Vienna.
For accompanying persons the fee includes lunch on 19th and 20th May, receptions, entrance fees and guided tour of Carnuntum, excursion in Vienna and transfers Vienna – Carnuntum – Vienna.
Cancellation fees:
Cancellations until 31st March 2022: € 20,-
Cancellations after 31st March 2022: no refund
In case of changes to the invoice after payment or cancellation of the conference, the following charges fall due:
€ 20,- in case of any alteration of invoice and reclassification
€ 10,- in case of cancellation of the conference
€ 50,- in case of chargeback (customer complaint of the credit card payment directly to the credit card company)
Scholarships:
For the participation in the colloquium with presentation we offer 5 scholarships for junior scientists, amounting to 350 € each. A stay over the whole duration of the colloquium (16th – 20th May 2022) is a precondition. Master and doctoral students from the following countries are eligible to apply:
Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Czech Republic, Hungary, Republic of Kosovo, Republic of Moldova, Montenegro, Republic of North Macedonia, Poland, Romania, Serbia, Slovakia and Slovenia.
Please mention your application for a scholarship in the email with submission of the abstract of your planned presentation (until 31st October 2021 to crpa-XVII@oeaw.ac.at) and attach a short CV. The selection of the scholarship holders will take place until 31st January 2022.
An alternative funding option for students from the Central and East European countries is offered by www.ceepus.info (category “Student Mobility – Short Term Excursions” as freemover, deadline 30th November 2021).
Data Consent
By registration for the conference you consent to the collection and processing of your personal data by the Organising Committee of the 17th International Colloquium on Roman Provincial Art (CRPA) for the purpose of publishing information and programs about the conference (print or online) as well as issuing the booklet of abstracts. Data will not be stored for further use after the end of the conference. Please note: Photographs and/or videos will be taken at the conference. By taking part in this event you grant the event organisers full rights to use the images resulting from the photography/video filming, and any reproductions or adaptations of the images for fundraising, publicity or other purposes to help achieve CRPA's aims. This might include (but is not limited to), the right to use them in their printed and online publicity, social media, press releases and funding applications. If you do not wish to be photographed please write to crpa-XVII@oeaw.ac.at.
